Configuration of Windows 95 Dial-up Networking for CompuServe 1. Configure modem in the standard Windows 95 fashion. 2. Make sure Dial-up Networking has been installed during Win 95 installation 3. Install Dscript (Dial-up Scripting) from Win 95 CD if not already installed 1. Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs 2. Windows Setup Tab 3. Have Disk 4. Browse from Win 95 CD -> \Admin\Apptools\Dscript 5. Select Rnaplus.inf 6. Check SLIP and scripting for Dial-up networking 7. Install 4. Configure Dial-up networking for CompuServe 1. Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Dial-up Networking 2. Make a new connection for CompuServe 1. Enter normal CompuServe dialup phone number 2. Server Type - PPP - UNCHECK log on to network - UNCHECK NetBEUI and IPX/SPX (not necessary) 3. Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Dial-up SCRIPTING 1. Choose connection that was just configured 2. Browse for dialup script -- choose "CIS.scp" script file 3. Apply 5. Dial in to CompuServe 4. Back to Dial-up Networking window 1. Double-click connection that was just configured 2. User name = CompuServe PPN 3. Password = CompuServe password
